Faculty Adviser
I have served as faculty adviser for two really cool student organizations, Project U and the College Democrats. These organizations are run by extremely bright and capable students who more often than not require little from me than a signature and the occasional advice. I was really pleased to be asked to the their adviser and am very proud of their work.
Project U (2016-2017): is a community-service organization that is dedicated to getting students involved with giving back to the local Albany community and beyond by volunteering their time and energy into a number of different projects. For example, they have helped make meals at a local shelter, put on birthdays for children at another shelter, put working into community gardens, championed events like Refugee Visibility Day, put in hours at a local animal shelter, and much more.
College Democrats (2016 - 2018): UAlbany's College Dems have an awesome history. Before I became their adviser they won College Democrats Chapter of Year by the College Democrats of America... three times (2011, 2013, 2015). This group is hard at work every year putting on college wide events, registering students to vote, campaigning for current and aspiring elected officials, and doing work they feel advances social and economic justice causes.
